The Association of Charity Shops has acknowledged the vital contribution that volunteers make to the continued success of charity shops. ‘Shelter’ were presented with an award for excellence in volunteer recognition by Helen Lederer (comedienne) an award which links to the Year of the Volunteer 2005. The award was presented at the Awards Dinner on 4th July, the first night of the Association’s Conference.- John Tough Formerly of British Red Cross Awarded for Outstanding Commitment to Charity Retail

The Association of Charity Shops has acknowledged the amazing contribution to the charity retail sector by presenting an award to John Tough, former Head of Retail of the British Red Cross. This special award was presented to John by Helen Lederer (comedienne) on Monday 4th July, the first day of the Association’s Annual Conference and Exhibition.
