I have sixteen years experience in the Voluntary sector. I started as a volunteer with Oxfam and NSPCC before joining the Donor Development Team at Crisis, the charity for homeless people. I moved to RNIB to take up a role as Database Marketing Coordinator producing analysis from their Visual Alms database. I now have a part-time job as Database Marketing Manager at an international development charity, producing analysis and managing the database. I spend the rest of my time developing my own business, selling artwork and modern design furniture. |

Fundraising Inflation 25 May 2008 I'd like to know how many fundraisers take into account the cost of inflation in their planning or asks. I work for an organisation that holds a Christmas concert. For the past few years the ticket price has been between £16 and £20 depanding on the seat location. Every year the event sells out but ticket prices have remained static. I think, at the least, prices should be increased by inflation (about 3% per year.) How many of you fundraisers out there, increase prices to take into account rising inflation? I'd be interested to hear the results.
